CCI Industrial Services Celebrates One Year Without an OSHA Recordable Injury

The company makes gains in establishing a ‘Zero Incident’ safety culture

ANCHORAGE, September 23, 2010 - CCI Industrial Services, LLC celebrated one full year of work without an OSHA recordable injury on September 23, 2010.

In congratulatory remarks to the CCI Industrial workforce, Ben Schoffmann, President and CEO, stated, "I am proud of our team and your commitment to safety. This accomplishment demonstrates our progress toward a Zero Incident culture and reflects our values and the objective of 'ensuring that everyone, on every job can reasonably expect to go home safely every day.'"

In recognition of the fact that the work of improving safety is never done, CCI Industrial has adopted a continuous improvement effort known as 'More & Better 3F's.' By committing to more and better face time, feedback and follow-up, the company is ensuring that daily safety discussions are effective, and that all employees and managers are held more accountable for addressing safety issues and concerns before someone gets hurt. "Nothing is more important than the safety of our workforce," said Schoffmann.


CCI Industrial Services, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bristol Bay Native Corporation. The company has been providing specialty services to the oil and gas industry in Alaska for more than two decades. These services include asbestos and lead surveys and abatement; pipeline and component insulation removal and refurbishment; oil spill response and technical support; operations, maintenance and construction; tank and vessel cleaning; specialty coatings and sandblasting; hazardous waste removal; and sales of biodegradable cleaning solutions.
